- Are you concerned about climate change?

Posted on Tuesday 21 November 2006
It's a topic that just won't go away. Over the last couple of years or so, climate change has risen up the news agenda to become one of the most significant and wide-reaching issues of our time. As mankind plunders earth's natural resources, and replaces them with harmful gasses and other forms of pollution, the future prospects of our world look increasingly bleak. What will happen when oil runs out? How will we curb the surging demand for energy from the likes of China and India? Will we get anywhere if America doesn't sign up to the Kyoto treaty?

Governments, organisations, and even the man on the street make repeated calls for action, but will we ever be able to kickstart a plan of action which will remove the problems we face once and for all? Doesn't seem very likely as things stand does it?

So is there any hope for the future or are we all doomed? Well fortunately there is a solution - it's found in the Bible. Whilst commonly dismissed as being flawed or made up, the Bible can actually be proved to be true and 100% accurate in many different ways, and therefore can be considered a reliable source.

We will be looking at what the Bible has to say about the future, and putting today's concerns about climate change into perspective, in an audio-visual presentation to be held, God Willing, at the Whitestone Community Centre, Magyar Crescent, Nuneaton (map) at 3pm on Sunday 26th November God Willing. Please feel free to come along, there's no obligation and no cost, and you are welcome to put forward your own views for discussion.
